My name is Stephanie Balih
You always see me with a flower in my hair; it's my trademark. I love nature and this beautiful planet with all its inhabitants, which is why I'm a vegetarian and eat a completely organic diet. In my free time, I do yoga and meditate. I live and work in beautiful Lower Austria with my husband Alex Dolphin and my daughter, with whom I have the band THE KNUTSHERS.

With my art I convey to people a feeling of lightness, beauty and divine harmony.

Art for a bright time with feeling and expertise

Beauty My artistic focus is on figurative motifs that lift people's energy. It is very important to me that we humans discover our own innate potential and live it. In addition to animal and nature motifs, my focus is on human portraits. Thanks to my sensitivity, I see a great deal in a person's aura and incorporate my knowledge into my paintings.

My trademark In painting, there's the typical blue. I call it "signature blue." It's present in all my paintings. Sometimes it flashes through subtly, and sometimes I give this dreamily beautiful blue the entire stage. I love the sea and its vibrancy.
“Ocean painting” is also a typical term for my art: I often let this special blue flow across the canvas in delicate lines.
With real gold and a message within the painting, I emphasize the message of my artwork. My art stands for quality and mastery.
My media are acrylic, oil and gold leaf on canvas.

My inspiration I draw movement and dreams from my eventful life.
I enjoy working in series and interweaving my paintings with the themes of my music. These are about self-love, mindfulness, and spirituality.

Working process: At the beginning of each of my works there is usually a fixed idea, captured in writing and sketches, as well as a concept of the picture composition, which can change during the painting process.

Freshness, lightness and strength
My artistic approach is figuratively expressive. I play with wateriness and impasto, with precision and blurriness. I find breaking boundaries fascinating, which is why I like to paint outside the box and use unusual formats and backgrounds.

For the Bavaria Film Studios I built sets and painted the pictures for an artist’s film role,

For the Albertina I was the female Picasso, Stephasso, and I painted for the visitors in the style of Picasso,

For Thomas Brezina, the popular youth author, I conceived the artistic concept of his TV series,

for a bee protection project on the Danube, I have created countless illustrations for the public,

For the "Art on the Beer Mat Edition" of the Zwettler Brewery, I painted eight portraits of well-known personalities as part of the state exhibition,

For the Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation I painted the CD cover for the charity CD "Christmascracker" for the Sternstunden campaign

I have already sold several works of art to passionate art collectors such as Heinz Angerlehner (Angerlehner Museum), Alfred Heinzel (Heinzel Holding) or companies such as Treibacher Werke. 

Selected paintings are also regularly auctioned at the renowned auction house Dorotheum.
